Access Creates Possibility

Financial circumstances should not prevent someone from finding education, community, and belonging at SELF. Our scholarship program helps more people enter the rooms where connection, discovery, and growth happen.

Voices of Possibility

Hear what past scholarship recipients had to say about their SELF experience.

Applications must be submitted by April 14 at noon Eastern Time. Award notices will be sent on May 1, and recipients must register for SELF by May 10 or forfeit the scholarship.

Three Ways We Help Make SELF Possible

Each scholarship serves a particular purpose while sharing the same commitment to access, education, and community.

Growth by Education — his platform during his 2009 title year

Applicants must identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have recently come out as kinky, leather, fetish, D/s, M/s—or another word of kink that describes them.

Recipients receive

  • One basic weekend package
  • One event pin
  • One event T-shirt

As of 03/25/2026, we have 2.30 scholarships available! Help us fund this scholarship.

Goddess Sadie Hawkins Memorial BIPOC Scholarship

Created in memory of the work and encouragement Goddess Sadie spread in the world, this scholarship is for BIPOC people. It was the first BIPOC scholarship of its nature—an original, just like Goddess Sadie herself.

This scholarship is worth $635. Each year, no more than one will be awarded. Applicants who do not receive this scholarship will be considered for other scholarships.

Recipients will ideally receive

  • Two hotel nights when funding allows; otherwise, one night may be awarded

        SELF Promotes Diverse Voices

SELF recognizes and values the rich diversity within our community.  We proactively cultivate multicultural representation and inclusion throughout all aspects of our event by prioritixing collaboration with community members who are marginalized on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender (identity or expression), sexual orientation, and/or disability.  With our commitment to diversity in mind, are you a member of a marginalized community?

        If so, tell us more.

At SouthEast LeatherFest, we commit to providing our community with a culturally diverse event and hold ourselves accountable to ensure we meet this goal.  We've provided checkboxes to provide us with a broad view of community representation as well as a fill-in option to learn about your specific identity. To help us evaluate our work, if you chose to, please tell us about yourself. We will use this data to ensure that we are uplifting marginalized voices and we are bringing the culturally diverse event to our community that we promise.  This information is confidential and will never be shared.
