Master Trent (he/him) joined his first BDSM/Leather group in 1983, though he had been practicing kinky sex for about 10 years before. In 1998 he opened a "brick and mortar" BDSM Dungeon club in Denver that he operated for six years. He has been active in many clubs and organizations throughout Colorado and the region, including Thunder in the Mountains, NLA, MAsT, Voodoo Leather, the Denver Sancturary and the Denver Boys of Leather. He has passionately been hosting and facilitating High Protocol and a variety of Master/slave classes and events since 1999. After competing in the Southwest Leather Conference Master/slave contest in 2011, he and slave kelly founded the Colorado Master/slave contest in 2012 which served as a State feeder to SWLC. They passed the ownership off in 2019 and in 2023 started producing the Southwest Master/slave Contest and Leather Run weekend. He has judged and served as a head judge for several Leather and Master slave contests, including International M/s. Master Trent is a retired Realtor and Human Resource professional. She is the Executive Director of the non-profit organization, bootblack.org, as well as Founder of Rice Up, an advocacy group for Asian leather people. She has served as head judge for a variety of contests including International Ms. Bootblack, International Community Bootblack, UK Bootblack, Bootblack Europe, Southeast LeatherFest, and Route 66. In addition, SpankCake has written for various organizations including the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and was featured in the July 2024 issue of Black Leather in Color magazine. She is the founder of StorieBrook Therapy & Consulting, an affirming mental health practice dedicated to dismantling barriers to care and supporting marginalized communities through clinical work, education, and community space. Rachel’s work is grounded in a deep belief that embodiment, pleasure, and connection are powerful tools for healing. A proud fat, queer, neurodivergent practitioner and long-time member of kink and leather communities, she brings both lived experience and professional expertise to spaces where identity, desire, and liberation intersect. I have proudly been part of the lifestyle community for over 18 years, during which I have dedicated myself to education, service, and building meaningful connections. My Leather journey began in the Southeast, where I served as an event coordinator for the Augusta Iron Rose Society. Through this work, I had the privilege of meeting and forming lifelong bonds with members of my Leather family east of the Mississippi. For five years, I served as the Set-Up Supply Coordinator for SELF of which I truly consider my home event. After returning to my home state of Colorado, I continued my commitment to community involvement by volunteering with Colorado Leather Fest and now with the Southwest Master/slave Contest Weekend. Both organizations have allowed me to contribute to the growth of our regional community while honoring the traditions and values that define our Leather culture. I am a proud member of several families within the community: the Sakura Leather Family, the Cantham House Leather Family, and an associate member of both the Trippy and Armed Family and House Labyrinth. These families represent not only mentorship and service but also deep bonds of trust, respect, and shared purpose. Alongside my community work, I am honored to share my life with my slave of nine years. Bigdadddy and aluinn live a 24/7 DD/lg dynamic that gives them the unique opportunity to advocate for ageplayers in Leather. They are founding members of The TreeHouse, a Leather house of ageplayers. In addition, they've formed the Fetlife group C.L.A.P., Connecting Leather Age Players, to share resources and promote camaraderie among ageplayers in Leather. They are passionate about fostering community and inclusion for all those who walk their Leather paths in their own unique ways. Gracie, aluinn’s 6-year-old persona, enjoys coloring, matchbox cars, bubbles, and play dates with her friends. She loves her puppy and her favorite doll, Lucy. DocDeth and Manic_baby20 (Em) are a dynamic presenting duo in the Charleston, SC kink community. Together, they co-organize Friends of Nights with Deth (@Friends_of_NWD), a group dedicated to fostering safety, inclusion, and growth through education, mental health awareness, and authentic connection. With over 19 years of combined experience, Doc and Em are committed to creating spaces where individuals feel seen, respected, and empowered to explore their kink journeys. DocDeth brings over 13 years of lifestyle experience as a skilled top. His expertise spans a wide range of practices, including impact, blood, needle, electric, cigar, and knife play. Known for his adaptability, Doc tailors each scene to the needs of his partners, creating experiences that balance intensity, artistry, and care. Originally from Ohio, Doc has become a deeply valued part of the South Carolina kink scene and continues to champion education and responsible exploration. Em, known as Manic_baby20, has been in the lifestyle for six years. Since 2023, she has shared a dynamic relationship with Doc as his bottom, submissive, and slave, while also evolving into her identity as a switch. Drawn to bloody, edgy, and intense scenes, Em frames her journey around honesty, respect, transparency, and communication. Her focus on mental health and personal growth allows her to bring a deeply human, empathetic perspective to her play and teaching. Together, Doc and Em champion consent, communication, and authenticity. Their mission is to build a supportive community that prioritizes education, acceptance, and opportunity, while guiding others toward deeper self-awareness and confidence. Liza and her slav, Jody, (International Master and slave 2011 & 2021) have been living in a committed M/s relationship for 23 years. Liza came to power at Woodstock and has been kinky ever since. In 2002, Liza moved to San Francisco and jumped into the leather community with both boots. After leaving the military in 1980, Jody came out as a leatherdyke and slave. Shortly thereafter she founded Leather and Lace, Los Angeles' first women's leather club. In 2000, Jody moved to San Francisco and became Liza's slave two years later. Currently they live in Portland, Oregon where they are members of the Portland Bad Girls, San Francisco Exiles and are founding members of LTHR (long term hierarchical relationships) discussion group. Liza and her slave teach extensively in the US and abroad, on a variety of topics related to nurturing and sustaining long-term M/s relationships filled with heat, sex, deep intimacy and fun. Having received numerous awards, the most meaningful to them is having been recognized as Presenters of the Year by MAsT International. Liza and Jody produce the Master slave Retreat and are the emeritus producers of the Ms. San Francisco Leather Contest. They have both served as representatives to the Bay Area Leather Alliance and on the steering committees or as officers of several organizations: Leather Levi Weekend, Leather Alley at Pride, the San Francisco Exiles and the Bears of San Francisco.
Sir Edgar & slave raven poe Sir Edgar began his journey in the lifestyle in the late 1990s in the New Jersey metro area—back when finding community often meant scanning the personals in the back of magazines. With decades of lived experience, he brings both depth and humor to his leadership, teaching, and service. Alongside his devoted slave, raven poe, he leads MAsT: Clifton, hosts the MAsT Clifton Munch, and facilitates the MAsT Clifton Masters’ Meetup, building spaces grounded in mentorship, growth, and authentic connection. Together, Sir Edgar and slave raven proudly held the titles of 2019 Northeast Master and slave, a year affectionately remembered as “the title year that would not end.” Both are graduates of MTTA, dedicated members of Master Taino’s Leather Family, and active staff and presenters for the Master/slave Conference (MsC). Their teaching and service have reached national audiences at events such as SPLF, SELF, TESFest, Kinky Con, Brimstone, Naughty Noel, The Master/slave Gathering, and numerous MAsT chapters across the country and online. Sir Edgar’s leadership extends beyond the classroom—he is known for volunteering and ensuring the infrastructure of community events runs smoothly. When not teaching or organizing, he enjoys camping, preventing things from going “boom,” and keeping raven on her toes (to her mock dismay). slave raven is the proud founder of the Survivors Circle at the Master/slave Gathering, offering a space for healing and empowerment. A longtime practitioner of the M/s lifestyle since 1995 and publicly active since 2015, she merges creativity and service through her kink-centered business and community work. Together, Sir Edgar and slave raven embody a life of devotion, humor, and service to the enduring traditions—and evolving future—of the Leather and M/s communities.
Marilyn and Rio served Northwest Master and slave 2023. Although now “wuzzies” they continue to teach, volunteer, and participate. Marilyn is a fat femme top, a heavy sadist, a control freak who likes to play very hard, and has a special affection for slut masochists. Rio is a butch leatherdyke, a feminist, a hopeless romantic, a knife fetishist, and is obsessed with service. Rio served as Ms. San Francisco Sober Leather in 2016, and the community-elected female Leather Marshall at the 2015 San Francisco Pride Parade. Marilyn won the “Unsung Hero” award for her volunteer community service in 2016. They are active in MAsT San Francisco, where Marilyn is the Director, and they both served as officers in the Exiles, their home club, for many years. They have judged and tallied at numerous contests, including SELF, Ms SF Leather, Mr/Mx SF Leather, SF Bootblack, and the Bay Area Cub Contest, and have presented at Black Rose, Northwest Leather Celebration, Southeast Leatherfest, Southwest Leather, International Ms. Leather/Ms. Bootblack, Sin in the City, Leather Leadership Conference, San Francisco State University, Dark Odyssey: Surrender, Butch Voices, The Group In Fresno, the Exiles, and more. Rio has never met a newcomer she didn’t like, and she and Marilyn delight in welcoming people into the M/s and kink communities. In their non-kink lives, Marilyn is a computer professional with two adult gender-variant children, and is active at her synagogue. Rio is Marilyn’s house butch, and is a published author and an award-winning painter.
