Title groupMr. SouthEast LeatherFest, Ms. SouthEast LeatherFest, SouthEast LeatherFest boy, and SouthEast Person of Leather
Pop Question / Hot Wear
This could be anything from a jockstrap for men and corsets for women to torn jeans, full uniforms, cruise attire, or leather. Contestants should dress in whatever makes them look and feel hottest and sexiest. Keep in mind that Georgia nudity laws require a one-inch strip up the butt crack, all genitals covered, and women’s aureoles covered.
The contestant will answer a surprise question from the emcee, ranging from fun to serious. The question could cover history or something specific to our region. The audience will assess how the contestant handles a question in the moment.
Fantasy Performance
This is the contestant’s opportunity to be creative, have fun, and give the audience more insight into what makes them throb through a leather, S/M, or other fetish fantasy. It may be erotic, political, educational, or funny, and it does not have to be sexual. Any imaginative scenario with a leather, fetish, or kink-lifestyle theme is appropriate. Sexual or erotic material must remain within legal limitations.
Creativity and originality are bonuses. Contestants provide their own music and manageable props. Two copies of the music are required on CD or jump drive. A Friday or Saturday afternoon rehearsal with full sound will be available. Everyone involved in the fantasy must attend rehearsal.
Setup and removal must each take approximately one minute. The complete Fantasy Performance may not exceed three minutes. More props and people create more opportunities for something to go wrong, so plan carefully and tell a clear story.
Educational Presentation
This is a 10-minute educational presentation about activism, a title platform, or another educational topic. Handouts and audiovisual materials may be used. A question-and-answer period of no more than five minutes will follow. Judges observe but do not ask questions. A SELF representative may open and close the session.
Contestants are assessed on timing, educational content, accessible knowledge, and audience interaction.
