Contestant applications for the SE Bootblack, Mr. SELF, Ms. SELF, SELF Boy, SE Master/slave, and SE Person of Leather titles contestants will be available in September 1st! Please submit the form below to ask questions or to obtain application materials. 

SouthEast LeatherFest has great pride in our titleholders. Our contests allow everyone to fully participate in the selection of our next generation of titleholders. 

Expect support from event staff, previous, and present titleholders. The rumor that it costs $15,000 to be a titleholder it is not the experience of most titleholders. We help you network to find places to stay and experience a cost effective and adventure filled year in a way that works with your time and resources. Have more questions if this is right for you? Rules & Obligations

There is a $200 entrance fee per contestant and a $300 entrance fee per Master/slave pair.

Contestants will be supported by SELF before and during the weekend of fun:
    •  Pre-event support from the SELF Contest Team

SELF titleholders will receive continuous assistance from SELF during their title year:
    •  Travel fund
    •  Congratulatory media release
    •  Competition coach(es) for international level events
    •  Event itinerary planning
    •  Promotional assistance
    •  Webpage for column and itinerary and advertising for your sponsors
    •  Presence at our next SELF event
    •  SELF tweets your event attendance
    •  Complimentary registration for SELF's next event
    •  Receive a custom made Leather Back Patch for their Leather Vest!
    •  Receive a custom medallion

Note:  All monies collected will be evenly divided among the titles.  Each title: Ms. SELF, Mr. SELF, SE Person of Leather, SE Bootblack, SE Master/slave and SELF Boy, will receive an equal portion of the travel funds. Baskets will be auctioned via silent auction.

In order to compete:

  • All persons intending to compete must submit the below form prior to noon on Dec. 1, 2025 at noon to request application materials. It is recommended that you not wait until the last moment to give notice to SELF.
  • All requested materials must be received prior to noon on January 25, 2026 in order to be accepted.
  • Persons intending to compete will speak with event staff prior to the acceptance of submitted applications. 
  • Contestant applications will be sent only to those indicating they intend to compete. Applications will not be sent to or accepted through any third party. 
  • Once your application has been accepted and verified as complete, you will receive an e-mail with further information including a registration code for SELF.
  • All contestants must be registered through the website and all fees must be paid within two days of receiving a code.

You will need a completed bio (limited to 300 words) and picture when submitting your Contestant Application. The bio and picture will be used for promotional purposes on the SELF Web site and potentially in the printed program guide.
